Based in Austin, Texas, Melanie Dragger is a writer and literary critic whose work explores the arts, education, language and linguistics, travel and cultural studies, and social and environmental issues. Her writing regularly appears in literary publications including the American Library Association’s Booklist and Kirkus Reviews. She is the founder of Literary West Review, an online journal dedicated to the literary life of the modern American West through criticism, feature writing, and book recommendations. She is also a member of the National Book Critics Circle.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with honors from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Professional Studies in Applied Communication with highest honors from the University of Denver.
